Caring for Friends’ Smiles

I grew up in Lodi and have lived here except when I was away at college and dental school. Now I’m honored to be providing gentle, patient-centered dental care to my friends and neighbors. I love practicing in a small community where I see my patients when I’m out and about. I treasure their friendships and enjoy seeing their healthy smiles.

I love how, as a dentist, there are so many things I can do to improve a person’s life. I can relieve people of dental pain, and see them walk out the door with a pain-free smile on their face. I can restore function, which allows someone to chew comfortably and properly. And I can improve a person’s smile, to increase their self-esteem and confidence.

Best of all, I get to help people I genuinely care about. No two days are the same in my office: new patients, new dental challenges, and new friendships to be made. I look forward to coming to work every day and am thankful to be part of our community.

Education and Continuing Education

  • Undergraduate studies – University of California at Santa Barbara
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco

I believe that dental school is only the beginning of the education process. Dentistry is an ever-evolving field. Innovative techniques, emerging technologies, and revolutionary materials all mean better options for my patients.

I avidly seek out continuing education, and participate in conferences, lectures, and seminars throughout the year. I also read dental journals to stay ahead of the curve on research findings and discussions of methods. I’m an active member of the Seattle Study Club, too.

Professional Memberships

  • American Dental Association
  • California Dental Association
  • San Joaquin Dental Society

In the Community

Part of being a dental professional is helping the less fortunate in our community. So I participate in the Give Kids a Smile charity. I do a lot of free, custom, athletic guards for young athletes, as well.

Personal Life

I share my life with my wife and two young children. When I’m not working, my priority is spending quality time with them. I also own a small family ranch outside of town where I farm cherries, so that keeps me busy. When I have the time, I enjoy playing softball and basketball.
